Advocacy and Lobbying

Advocacy and Lobbying

Kenya Forests Working Group''s legislative team is dedicated to preserving and building upon Kenya''s fundamental framework of forest conservation and management laws and policies.

Forests, water and wildlife do not adhere to state boundaries so we work at the national level and at the community level with you to achieve balanced, scientifically based protections for the nation''s forest ecosystems.

We believe that the civil society organizations, indigenous people, private sector, vulnerable and marginalized people have the capacity to contribute to decision making processes affecting their lives and hold those in position of power to account to meet their obligations to respect and protect the rights of poor people while managing and conserving forests.

We strive to be their voice. Our lobbyists rely on your passion, your messages to legislators, your letters to the media, and your dedication to protecting forests. We work with you, the government, civil society organizations, indigenous people, private sector, vulnerable and marginalized people to ensure your priorities, the programs and policies that protect forests, wildlife and our future generation of conservationists, are moving forward.
